Witt Mares, PLC, a regional accounting and consulting firm serving clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic, was one of 26 organizations that received a Community Impact Award from the United Way of South Hampton Roads (UWSHR).Witt Mares was honored by the UWSHR for its exceptional employee giving campaign. Their efforts helped contribute to the $17 Million raised for vital regional health and human service programs.
The Community Impact Award is presented to organizations that have demonstrated active involvement in their community through giving in employee campaigns, advocating community involvement, and volunteering in their community. “Witt Mares has been an active member of the corporate community for 30 years and we recognize how important it is to give back and support our community and neighbors, particularly in this difficult economy,” said Mary Aldrich, Chief Administrative Operating Officer, at Witt Mares, PLC.
